PANEER MASALA

Paneer masala is a popular north indian dish . It is a spicy recipe often enjoyed with roti , nan ,paratha and sometimes with rice.  It is considered to be an alternative to chicken among vegetarians . It is one of the protein source for vegetarians.

Ingredients:

  • Cubed paneer 1 in X 1 in – 10 – 12 pieces
  • Oil / Desi ghee to fry paneer pieces – 3 – 4 table spoon
  • Oil / Desi Ghee – 1 tablespoon
  • KwikMeal Bhunna Masala – 2 tablespoon
  • Bay leaves (Tez patta) – 2 leaves
  • Red chilli powder – as per taste
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Cilantro , chopped – 1 tablespoon
  • Milk (Optional) – 1/2 cup
  • Heavy whipping cream (Optional) – 2 tablespoon
  • Homemade garam masala – 1 pinch

Preparation

  • Fry the paneer cubes in oil/desi ghee till light golden and soak in hot water
  • Heat wok (Kadhai) on medium flame. Add of oil / desi ghee. When heated add bay leaves
  • When bay leaves change color, add KwikMeal Bhunna Masala
  • Add red chilli powder and stir for 2 minutes
  • Add the cubed paneer to the wok and fry for 2 or 3 minutes
  • Add cup water
  • Bring nix to boil and add salt
  • Cover pan and cook on medium low flame till desired gravy
  • Turn off flame
  • After turning off flame you could addONEof these optional items to enhance taste (Do not use all)
  • Homemade garam masala (only small cardamom, cinnamon & cloves coarsely ground) and desi ghee only if you are using oil. If you have cooked in desi ghee just add homemade garam masala
  • Cilantro
  • Homemade garam masala (only small cardamom, cinnamon & cloves coarsely ground) and heavy Whipping Cream

Your dish is now ready. Enjoy with Roti, Puri, Nan, Paratha or Rice.
